Scott Emerson MP today called on brilliant businesses in the Indooroopilly community to enter the 2015 Telstra Australian Business Awards.

For 23 years the national award program has recognised the best in Australian small and medium business and helped entrepreneurs transform their business to new levels of success.

Mr Emerson also said it’s not too late for the community to support inspiring local businesses they admire by nominating them in 2015.

“Our local businesses, and the incredible people who run them, are central to the strength of our local economy and it’s important for us to celebrate and continue to encourage their growth,” Mr Emerson said.

“It takes an incredible amount of sacrifice and tenacity to run a business and nominating is a wonderful way to recognise the inspiring entrepreneurs behind our local success stories.

“Nominating gives deserved recognition to a business you respect and the opportunity to have them recognised among Australia’s best small and medium business.

“I encourage everyone to nominate our brilliant local businesses and show the rest of the state/territory the excellent operations we have here in the Indooroopilly electorate.”

Every business that enters the Awards receives a free individual 70-page Business Health Check report that evaluates their business performance and provides a platform to review business strategy and plan for future growth.

Entries for the 2015 awards are open now, and will close on the 30 March.

Queensland winners will be named at a gala event on 30th July 2015. National awards including the prestigious title of Telstra Australian Business of the Year will be announced in Sydney on 20 August 2015.

Winners will share in more than $800,000 in cash and business products, which is split amongst the state, territory and national winners.
