Our doors are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

School Tours

These tours, provided by the Parliamentary Attendants, operate Monday - Friday between 9:30 am - 1:30 pm. The tours start at the Parliamentary Annexe and take approximately 1 hour 30 mins.  During the tour you will visit and learn about the Legislative Council (Red Chamber), the Honour Boards, the Mace, the Wind Yarn (the Parliament's didgeridoo), the leadlight window, and, on non-sitting days, the Legislative Assembly (Green Chamber).  When Parliament is sitting, you will view the Parliament from the Legislative Assembly Gallery.

Depending on when the tour is to be held, Scott may be able to host your school's tour of Parliament House. Contact the electorate office to discuss Scott's availability.

For more information on the tours go to the Queensland Parliament website or to arrange a tour, phone Queensland Parliament on (07) 3553 6000 or book online on the parliamentary website.

Toner Recycling
It has been estimated over 80% of our used cartridges are going directly to landfill with Australians throwing away more than 18 million cartridges every year.  This amounts to over 5,000 tonnes of material including laser toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, photocopier toner bottles and drums, that will eventually end up as landfill.  A toner recycling carton is located in the electorate office for local businesses and residents to drop off their used toners cartriduges for recycling.

Battery Recycling

A battery recycling bin also is available in the electorate office for local businesses and residents to drop off their used batteries for recycling. This service is provided by Battery World, Indooroopilly Central, Connan St, Indoorooopilly.
